The National Health Mission (NHM) conducts the community Health Officer (CHO) exam to recruit skilled professionals.The exam syllabus is outlined below,encompassing all the nursing topics:

Bihar CHO Exam Pattern
- The Written Examination of the SHSB Community Health Officer consists of a single paper that has five different subjects included. The five sections—Child Health, Maternal Health, Adolescent Health, Family Planning, and Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases—will be mandatory for the candidates to attend. The NHM CHO test will be entirely of objective questions. However, each of the five possibilities will have to be selected by the candidates

- The exam will last for two hours, or 120 minutes, in total.
- For every correct response, there will be a +2 mark according to the commission’s chosen marking system.
- However, the negative marking is not mentioned for the candidates’ convenience. It is therefore possible to determine that there won’t be any negative marking.
- Thirty percent of the total marks must be scored to qualify for the General category. This suggests that to be eligible for the written parts, candidates must receive a total score of 30.
